How to Report a Missed Bin Collection (Checklist)
Before filling in any form to report a missed bin collection, spend two minutes on these checks. Around half of reported misses turn out to be one of the following, and reporting too early can actually delay the crew coming back:
- Check it was actually your bin collection day. Bank holidays shift most bin collection dates by one day for the whole week. Check your council's online calendar.

- Report it within your council's deadline. This is where people get caught out. Knowsley closes reports after 48 hours, Manchester after 5 days, and Clackmannanshire at 5.30pm the next working day. Miss the window, and you will wait for the next scheduled collection.
