How to report a missed bin collection in Isle of Wight

Before you report: Isle of Wight Council will not reattempt a collection if your bin was not presented correctly. Bins must be out by 7am on collection day, lid fully closed, correct waste inside, and accessible from the pavement.

  1. Check your bin was presented correctly. Bin at the boundary of your property, accessible from the pavement, lid fully closed, correct waste inside. If any of these were not met, wait for your next isle of wight bin collection day.
  2. Confirm the crew has visited your road. Only report once you are sure the collection crew has already been to your street and your bin specifically was missed.

  4. Leave your bin out. Keep it at the front of your property. Isle of Wight Council will return within as soon as possible.
